This unique Cognac, named Lot #2012, is aged in a lightly charred oak cask before being finished in an ex-Champagne barrel that previously housed vintage Champagne made from the rare Petit Meslier grape. With only 120 bottles available, this limited edition is truly one-of-a-kind and also the very first Cognac of this kind.
Comandon has pioneered the concept of single cask Cognac, offering a bold alternative to traditional blends. This Rare Cask Finish showcases the synergy of Cognac and Champagne craftsmanship, resulting in an unprecedented flavor profile. The nose opens with fruity notes of nectarines, apricot, and green apple, perfectly balanced by the influence of the Champagne cask. The palate delivers bursts of citrus and sweet pear, followed by acacia honey, demerara sugar, bright apples, and a hint of cinnamon spice. The finish is satisfyingly long, leaving a smooth trace of vanilla fudge and creamy custard.

Comandon instead work in tandem with nature, initiating unique collaborations for their single cask collection, and never fearing experimentation.
