Description
The Perfect Pairing from Bernard Boutinet
Made exclusively with grapes from the Fins Bois growing region, Bernard Boutinet Cognac & Cigars is a mature, well-balanced expression said to be a blend of two “very old” Cognacs. The clay and sandy soil of Fins Bois usually produce elegant eaux-de-vie with a distinctly floral edge, but as indicated by the name on the bottle, this time around it’s a sweet tobacco note that takes centre stage.
The house of Bernard Boutinet is highly regarded for their small but outstanding range of quality Cognacs. Fourth-generation company director - also named Bernard Boutinet - is proudly independent and traditional, focused entirely on creating quality eaux-de-vie that can hold up to extended aging. Maison Boutinet only uses Ugni Blanc grapes from the Fins Bois region, harvested from their 66-acre estate vineyards, and focus on selling their wares directly to the general public. Their brands are easily spotted by the use of the region’s ‘La Caleche’ emblem on the classic style labels that grace the front of all its bottles and decanters.
Presentation of the Bottle
Bernard Boutinet Cognac & Cigars comes in a striking, tall bottle with a thick base and gold stopper. Gold lettering on the front perfectly complements the deep color of this Cognac.
How to Enjoy Bernard Boutinet Cognac & Cigars
We recommend serving this well-rounded Cognac in slim tulip glasses at room temperature to fully appreciate the herbal aromas. As you may have guessed already, this is also the perfect pairing for a good cigar.
