Description
Bache Gabrielsen XO Pure & Rustic Petite Champagne Barret Cognac
Bache Gabrielsen XO Pure & Rustic Petite Champagne Barret is a light and fruity Cognac offering hints of floral notes and a long distinctive finish. This rare single estate Petite Champagne XO is made in collaboration with 4th generation winemaker and "Bouilleur De Cru", Nöel Gay on his 15 hectare property near the village of Sainte Lheurine. This Cognac is produced exclusively with Ugni Blanc grapes, that are the raw material that come from the family-run vine-yards. Once selected, the eaux-de-vie is then distilled and left to mature in small Limousin oak barrels until ready to be bottled.
A fine XO, curated as part of the “Pure & Rustic” collection from Bache-Gabrielsen. In creating such a master-piece, cellar-master, Jean-Philippe Bergier has succeeded in producing a range of Cognacs oozing modern style. The collection invites tasters to discover the light, fruity and refreshing side of Cognac and a true taste of the rural life in Cognac.
Bache Gabrielsen is a Cognac house currently run by Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen who is the fourth generation to take the ropes of the family business. Embracing modern standards, whilst remaining truthful to the brand’s traditional roots, Maison Bache Gabrielsen should be highly credited for its success with the international market in particular. Today Maison Bache Gabrielsen stands as one of the most sought after brands in Norway and other Scandinavian countries. With its sleek bottle designs, artisanal craftsmanship and reputable savoir-faire - it's hard not to admire this unique Cognac house for all it’s glory.
Presentation of the bottle
Unveiling its elegant golden coloring, this Bache Gabrielsen XO arrives in a contemporary bottle design that is sure to stand proud on the Cognac shelf. Whilst presentation of this Cognac has been kept simple - the eaux-de-vie speaks volumes.
How to enjoy
The youngest blend of this Pure & Rustic XO is at least 10 years old, therefore, a mature Cognac of its nature is best served - neat. By adding a few cubes of ice to the glass, the tasting experience can be altered, ever so slightly. The added coldness of sipping this fruity XO on the rocks will delights and can be served as a delicately refreshing aperitif.
