This Cognac XO from the house of Bache Gabrielsen comes in a 70cl bottle, its grapes come from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne - therefore the name Fine Champagne. This XO has won several awards and medals at international competitions.
As pleasing on the nose as it is the pallet
I’m a newbie when it comes to fine cognacs , I was actually recommended both to this site and this cognac by one of your reviewers and I have to say from what I have experienced thus far this is by far the best. It is very both heady and crisp and light an interesting combination that works incredibly well together. I’ll be ordering another bottle as I’ve very nearly polished it off the first one - My recommendation? don’t buy a bottle buy two ..
Wow what a cognac!
I’m not and cognac expert. But, this is a great cognac!
I had tried much more expensive cognacs but this is the best one i’ve had.
All aspects of it are just in balance, this is the best way I can describe it. Very smooth and pleasant testing with a long but not overpowering finish.
Nothing but a fantastic cognac. Finding this I stopped further searching. It gives you a controlled taste experience, no bomb. Gives you a long aftertaste of cognac, not alcohol. For equal quality of the major brands you have to pay twice as much. Go no further.
This is a fantastic cognac!!! Great nose, taste on palate, and finish are exquisite. If you are in the military, and stationed in germany, the canadian PX on ramstein air base in kaiserslautern sells a 1L bottle of this for 40 euro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bache Gabrielsen XO
Great taste in the mouth but a bit sharp at the end. I like the style of the Bache cognac blends, this one is their flagship
