Description

A Reserve XO Cognac from the Fine Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois

Enjoying Cognac and a cigar is one of the most luxurious combinations possible, and AE Dor XO Cigar Reserve Cognac honors this tradition with this fine blend. Specifically crafted to match a good cigar, it has been crafted with eaux-de-vie from the prestigious Grande and Petite Champagne terroirs, alongside Fins Bois and Borderies to create particularly a stunning cuvée. It has a strong and robust character, that perfectly accentuates the spice of a cigar.

Meditatively sipping on a Cognac while smoking a cigar is said to amplify the aromas of the eaux-de-vie in a unique manner, and parts of this XO Reserve Cognac assemblage has been aged in French new oak to accentuate the tannins of the barrel. Proofed slightly higher than the average at 42% ABV, this is a good Cognac for cigar amateurs.

The liveliness of the Borderies cru, combined with the finesse of the Fine Champagne and Fins Bois maturity makes for a delicately assembled blend. A large proportion comes from the Grande Champagne terroir, which is particularly renowned for producing fine Cognac thanks to the high chalk content in its soil. The eaux-de-vie have been aged for at least 10 years, with all kinds of spicy flavors imbued from the casks.

How to enjoy this Cognac

Sip your Cognac and smoke your cigar meditatively and reflectively, taking in every note that arises. Serve at room temperature in a balloon glass.
