ABK6 Cognac

The ABK6 XO Family Reserve Aged 10 Years Cognac is the oldest in the ABK6 range.  It's a single estate cognac - one that has deservedly won many awards (including silver in London 2009 and Gold in Bruxelles in the same year).

One of the signature aromas and taste of cognacs from ABK6 is spicy, fruity pastry notes - and this cognac certainly holds true to this.  On the nose you enjoy the dried fruit, nuts, and liquorice aromas typical of well matured cognacs.

Presented in a smart bottle that boasts clean lines and elegant simplicity, this cognac is a wonderful choice to enjoy as a digestif with friends after an evening of good food.

Tasting Notes

A beautiful old gold color, with a nose dominated by fruity, pastry notes.  The palate has a good structure, with a long, extended finish during which delightful notes of oak come through.

Single estate, what a winner!

I tasted their VSOP the other day and really liked it, probably the best VSOP cognac under $60 on the market. So.. i got this XO and I also really like it, not as good as their VSOP though, a bit heavier and more complex.. probably because of the longer time in the oak cask.

For a Fins Bois cognac, this blend is a very, very solid one. Good work, Simon Palmer!
