Drawn exclusively from Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie aged for more than 30 years in Tronçais French oak, this Sélection Cru XO is bottled at 45.2 % vol by Distillerie de Malémont. The extra time in cask builds depth while allowing the chalk-rich terroir to show through with clear dried-fruit and spice notes.
The broad-shouldered bottle narrows gracefully into a short neck sealed with a natural cork and paper strip bearing the maison’s seal. A matte-black capsule shows the age statement, while the front label, in off-white and slate grey, lists cru, cask reference and bottling date by hand. A matching black gift box carries the gold A. de Vacqueur eagle and a silver panel marked “Sélection Cru”, providing understated shelf presence straight from the image.
Serve neat in a tulip glass at 20 °C; allow two minutes in the glass for the dried-fruit and spice bouquet to open fully. One drop of water can soften the oak edge if desired. Complements roasted almonds, aged Comté or a mild cigar.
