Produced from Ugni Blanc grown on clay-limestone soils, this XO marries eaux-de-vie aged at least 10 years with parcels of Grande Champagne held for 25 years or more. All components mature in fine-grain Tronçais oak before blending, and the final Cognac is bottled at 40 % vol. The result is a classic, fruit-driven profile balanced by subtle spice and well-integrated oak.
The flattened decanter stands broad and low, its clear glass revealing the deep amber spirit inside. A gold-tone eagle—the maison’s emblem—soars across the front, above a midnight-blue panel framed in gold and marked “XO Cognac”. A tapered neck is wrapped with a navy collar and finished by a polished metal cap and natural cork. The decanter is presented in a matching navy gift box, embossed with the gold eagle and bordered by a fine gold line that mirrors the label.
Pour neat into a tulip glass and warm gently in the palm to unlock dried-fruit and spice aromas. One small drop of water can soften the oak edge without dulling the flavour. Recommended pairings include saffron-poached langoustines or roasted almonds, both of which echo the Cognac’s sweet-spice register.
