Description

A de Fussigny Fins Bois Collection Cognac: Capturing the Unique Aromas Found Only in Fins Bois

The A de Fussigny Fins Bois Collection Cognac is part of the Les Crus du Cognac Collection, a select single cru collection of XO Cognacs produced by the esteemed estate, which celebrates the unique qualities of each individual terroir. The Fins Bois terroir is known for its red clay and limestone soil which tends to produce fresh and fruity eaux-de-vie. Many consider the terroir to be the third best in Cognac, after Petite and Grande Champagne of course.

Located on the banks of the Charente river, this estate's distillery and cellars date back to 1814, rich in a history of gabarres passing by on barges, transporting and trading the precious eaux-de-vie and wine that render this region famous. Their more than 200-year-old cellars allow the aging process to take place in a humid environment, offering a unique and high quality to every Cognac that A De Fussigny produce.

A typical Fins Bois Cognac releases aromas of freshly pressed grapes, delivering a fresh and fruity drinking experience with every sip. This single cru Fins Bois Collection Cognac certainly captures this aspect of its region, despite its older age, with strong and sweet notes of raisin and prune that develop onto both nose and palate with a hint of citrus fruit in the form of marmalade.

Presentation of the Bottle

Featuring the traditional A de Fussigny logo engraved onto the bottle, this classic and slim bottle makes it the ideal gift for a loved one, or simply as an aesthetic accompaniment to other Cognacs in your collection. The delicate handwriting on the label assures the high quality one comes to expect from A de Fussigny, signed off by the master blenders themselves at the legendary domaine.

How to Enjoy

A de Fussigny Fins Bois Collection Cognac can be enjoyed neat, preferably in a traditional tulip glass at room temperature. Why not drink it alongside others in the Les Crus du Cognac collection? This way you can identify and appreciate the unique aromas delivered by each individual terroir.

About A de Fussigny Cognac

Located in the historical center of Cognac, France, A de Fussigny Cognac was established in 1814 on the banks of the iconic Charente River. The brand pushes the idea of modern luxury, incorporating tradition, authenticity and craftsmanship with modernity and innovation. The estate's 200-year-old cellar has a particularly humid environment thanks to its proximity to the river, meaning the maturation process produces a high quality and unique character to Fussigny’s Cognac. The estate boasts a selection of Cognacs from all growing terroirs, but focuses primarily on distilling eaux-de-vie from the prestigious Fine Champagne region (Petite and Grande Champagne), utilising the rich soils to concentrate on high quality and a distinct flavor profile. Using ancestral expertise and savoir-faire, the estate's seasoned cellar master blends the finest selection of eaux-de-vie to produce a particular finesse to each flavor, adding a complex character to each individual Cognac.

A de Fussigny Cognac has a no-plastic policy, ensuring they do not use or create plastic waste for their packaging.
