Origin: A Legacy of Excellence

The Grallet-Dupic farm-distillery has a rich history dating back to 1860. Originally, they specialized in distilling fruit to make various eaux-de-vie de fruit. With Christophe Dupic joining the family operation in the early 2000s, whisky production began. A devoted whisky enthusiast, Christophe used his knowledge gained from visiting and learning from Scottish distilleries to produce Rozelieures' own quality whisky. Today, they control 100% of the production process on-site, from barley cultivation to bottling, making them one of the rare whisky distilleries in the world with such comprehensive quality control.

Production Process: Authentic and Rigorous

Rozelieures Whisky Tourbé Collection is made from Laureate and Prospect barley varieties, malted at Rozelieures' own facilities. The fermentation process is two-tiered: the first stage is temperature-controlled, while the second stage is “libre”, without any temperature control. Distillation occurs in two charentais style pot stills, renowned for producing fine, round, and fat distillates. This peated whisky, with its distinct smoky character, ages in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in new French oak. The result is a rich and complex spirit, bottled without any chill-filtration or artificial coloring.
