Description

A multiple award winning VSOP Cognac that is perfect for all occasions

The Prince Hubert de Polignac VSOP "Harmonie" Apollon Cognac is a wonderful Cognac blend that can hold its own for many different occasions. Categorized as Very Superior Old Pale, this VSOP is made from the youngest eaux-de-vie from this Cognac's cellar, and is aged for at least four years in oak barrels.

It is however, good to know the average age of eaux-de-vie in this category may be older. This is because the determining factor of a Cognac’s category is the age of the eau-de-vie in the blend that determines the actual quality of the Cognac. Hence, a Cognac automatically falls under the VSOP category the moment a four-year-old eau-de-vie is incorporated into the blend.

Named after the oldest of France’s noble families, Cognac Prince Hubert de Polignac is owned by the company H Mounier, who are also part of the Charentais wine growers union Unicoop. Packaged in their distinctive grey, red or blue colors, the brand ranges from a VS upwards. Faithfully following the Cognac making methods of old, today’s “Prince Polignac” cognac has won many awards since its inception over 60 years ago.
