Leopold Raffin Cognac VSOP: An awardwinner from a rare Cognac producer
The Leopold Raffin VSOP is a fabulous blend of Fins Bois and Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie. It has spent a minimum of four years in French limousin oak barrels, giving it a refined flavor of vanilla with a particularly floral bouquet.
The VSOP contains a strict selection of eaux-de-vie made up of 90% Ugni Blanc grapes, a classic variety for Cognac production that produces distinct and easily distinguishable flavor profiles, especially when grown on the clay and limestone soil of the Leopold Raffin estate! It's no wonder this VSOP earned the Silver medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition back in 2012.
The house of Leopold Raffin was established in 1889, but unfortunately has since went bankrupt, meaning the remaining bottles that circulate are becoming increasingly rare. A Cognac from an estate with this much history is surely one to try before it's too late.

How to Enjoy:
If you do manage to get your hands on a bottle of this increasingly hard-to-come-by Cognac, we would recommend sipping it neat or over ice in a traditional tulip glass or snifter, in order to appreciate its summer floral bouquet.
Presentation of the Bottle:
A stunning square bottle design perfectly frames the bright golden VSOP stored within. Featuring the iconic Leopold Raffin initials and a simple yet stylish square label, the bottle is understated, leaving the Cognac to fully express itself upon that very first sip...
