Description
The Paintraud Frères VSOP "Band of 4 Brothers” Cognac is a deliciously delicate blend of eaux-de-vie from the heart of the premier cru: Grand Champagne region. Boasting strong fruity and floral aromas with undertones of vanilla, this VSOP Cognac delivers with a very well balanced palette and provides a blissful freshness. Having been aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 5 years, the eaux-de-vie presents beautifully in a fiery amber colour. Considering its exceptional quality, this VSOP Cognac comes with an astonishingly affordable price tag. Whether you're an avid Cognac connoisseur or not - this VSOP is worthy of its place in the drinks cabinet as it serves ideal in cocktails as an aperitif, but it is also wonderful as a digestif or simply on ice.
Maison Paintraud Frères really came to life in 1934, following the great phylloxera crisis, when Guy Painuraud began marketing his own Cognacs and Pineaux des Charentes under the family name. Since 2010, the son of Guy Painturaud (Jaques) has passed the baton on to his own sons. Today, the four Jean-phillipe, Vincent, Matthieu and Emmanuel, represent the 4th generation of family tradition and Cognac expertise and know-how. The brand embodies everything that is great about the prestigious Grande Champagne terroir as you can expect nothing less than the careful curation of top-of-the-range, quality Cognac products.
Presentation of the decanter
Presented in a simple bottle design, the Painturaud VSOP Cognac’s deep red amber colouring speaks volumes and invites the eye closer. Labelled with a bold font and lettering, injects a modern, contemporary feel to the presentation and reflects upon the younger generations of brothers who are in charge of the brand today.
How to enjoy
The Paintraud VSOP Cognac is a delicate blend of eaux-de-vie that can be enjoyed neat or as a cocktail, preferably with artisanal tonic and lots of ice. Maison Paintraud also suggests lengthening 3cl of VSOP with Canada Dry, then adding two lots of orange zest, a few drops of Angostura Bitters and plenty of ice cubes.
About Painturaud Freres
Located near Segonzac, in the very heart of Premier Cru Grande Champagne country, Painturaud Frères Cognac has a history that can be traced back to the end of the 1800s. With 40 hectares of vines planted over rolling hillsides, the main crop is composed of the Ugni Blanc grape, with a smattering of Colombard and Montils. They also grow a small amount of red grapes – Merlot and Cabernet Franc – for production of red Pineaux des Charentes.
