Description
The J. Painturaud Duo VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac is an extremely versatile Cognac, not to mention offering excellent value for money. This premier cru blend is truly delicate for its age, showing balance and complexity way beyond its years. This will appeal to those who enjoy fruity, flowery aromas from their Cognac, with the choice as to whether or not to enjoy it neat, or perhaps in a more adventurous manner.
For example, it certainly works as the traditional digestif, perhaps warmed in the hand for a few minutes before enjoying its aromas and flavor. But it also lends itself well on the rocks–the perfect aperitif. Or with ginger ale or tonic to create a long drink on a summer's day. Whichever way you choose to drink it, this is a Cognac that appeals to all palates. Certainly a great staple to own.

About Painturaud Frères
Located near Segonzac, in the very heart of Premier Cru Grande Champagne country, Painturaud Frères Cognac has a history that can be traced back to the end of the 1800s. With 40 hectares of vines planted over rolling hillsides, the main crop is composed of the Ugni Blanc grape, with a smattering of Colombard and Montils. They also grow a small amount of red grapes – Merlot and Cabernet Franc – for production of red Pineaux des Charentes.
