Imoya VSOP
The Imoya VSOP Cape Brandy from KWV is a South African brandy made with a blend of double-pot-stilled spirits, which have been aged in small French oak barrels for up to 20 years. Injecting some African spirit into typically French Cognac, “Imoya” means “the ancient wind of Africa”. This VSOP boasts a diverse array of aromas including plenty of roasted, spicy notes which blend beautifully with sweet hints of nuts.
Produced with a blend of delectable blend of eaux-de-vie from the Western Cape, it is a rich brandy that captures the same smooth perfection as the ancient wind of Africa, a natural wonder. Sip and savor Imoya VSOP neat or on ice and enjoy how the patchwork of sweet and spicy aromas unfold across the palate. If you’re feeling more adventurous, try mixing up a traditional “Old Fashioned”, with Imoya VSOP as the base of the cocktail. Ingredients:
- 60ml of Grand Brulot
- (or 30ml GB and 30ml Bourbon)
- 5 ml of Sugar
- 2 dashes of Whisky barrel bitters
Slowly stir the spirits together, add the sugar and continue to stir and then strain it into your choice of cocktail glass.
