Description
Francois Voyer VSOP: a Bouquet of Flowers from Grande Champagne
Crafted exclusively from grapes harvested in Grande Champagne - widely considered the finest of all the Cognac crus - the delightful Francois Voyer VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac has been matured for six to fourteen years to express the most delicate floral notes typical of this region. With its notes of lime, jasmine and dried florals dominating over a base of apricot and vanilla, this flawless expression is sure to impress any Cognac lover.
Only high-acidity Ugni Blanc grapes from the Premier Cru have been used for the eaux-de-vie in this VSOP blend. The house of François Voyer uses French oak barrels from the Limousin, Bercée, Gâvre and Reno Valdieu forests for maturation, and the eaux-de-vie for this blend have been aged in a combination of damp and dry cellars to create a delicate balance of aroma and flavor.
The Chauchet-Voyer family have been distilling and aging eaux-de-vie in oak barrels since the 1870s – for over five generations. Focusing on the Grande Champagne cru, they work with numerous winegrowers in the area, as the domaine itself is a small-scale producer with only 28 hectares of land. They are, however, dedicated to maintaining a sustainable agriculture approach to protect biodiversity and public health and was one of the first 20 domains to obtain the High Environmental Value (HEV) certification.
Presentation of the Bottle
The Francois Voyer VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac comes in a tall, slim bottle with gold foil. The package is completed by an elegant presentation box featuring the Francois Voyer emblem in gold.
How to Enjoy
This lively and expressive VSOP is great before dinner as well as after. Serve neat in tulip glasses at room temperature as a digestif, or over ice as an aperitif.
