This VSOP Fine Champagne from Bisquit is a middle-old Cognac, distilled in the Fins Bois area, close to the town of Rouilliac. The Cognac was aged in oak casks.

There is no tasting review of Bisquit VSOP, but the producer notes: Appreciated for the subtle interplay of aromas ranging from a core of ripe fruits (dry apricot, honey) and sweet spices (cinnamon, clove) underlined with floral nuances (rose), Bisquit VSOP is smooth and mellow on the palate, with an long lasting finish.
Founded by Alexandre Bisquit in 1819, the house of Bisquit, with its home at the Château de Lignères by the banks of the Charente River, had a long-standing family tradition until the house was sold to Pernod Ricard in 1966. Said to have been among the favorite cognacs of Winston Churchill and King George IV, it is popular in the Anglo-Saxon countries and hence was bought by the South African group Distell in 2009.
