Tasting review

There is no tasting review of Bisquit VSOP, but the producer notes: Appreciated for the subtle interplay of aromas ranging from a core of ripe fruits (dry apricot, honey) and sweet spices (cinnamon, clove) underlined with floral nuances (rose), Bisquit VSOP is smooth and mellow on the palate, with an long lasting finish.

About Bisquit Cognac

Founded by Alexandre Bisquit in 1819, the house of Bisquit, with its home at the Château de Lignères by the banks of the Charente River, had a long-standing family tradition until the house was sold to Pernod Ricard in 1966. Said to have been among the favorite Cognacs of Winston Churchill and King George IV, it is popular in the Anglo-Saxon countries and hence was bought by the South African group Distell in 2009. I was given a bottleof VSOP Bisquit Napoleon Cognac in the box(gold and brown) and I was wondering if it is worth anything? I was told it is about 100 years old

Arsallan, sure it should be possible to drink it - remember: cognac once bottled, it stops ageing. Still, depending on the blend and eaux-de-vie used and other factors, some cognac start to lose quality when kept too long. You also might want to use the section 'Submit Bottle' in order to find out more about your bottle, where you can upload pictures etc. please just make sure to follow the steps.
