Description
A Fins Bois Marvel - Pierre Vaudon VS Cognac
This particular Vaudon VS is a blend of Fins Bois eaux-de-vie, revealing a complex and elegant flavor profile to enjoy with good company.
Qualities from the Fins Bois cru prevail with nuances of white fruits, liquorice, and subtle hints of blackberry, blackcurrant and vanilla on the nose that are offset by white fleshy fruit aromas, such as apple and pear, resulting in a harmonious and refined bouquet.
On the palate, the eaux-de-vie brings a delicate, supple and soft attack that develops gradually, becoming a fuller-bodied Cognac, ending on a lengthy finish.
Pierre Vaudon is well known for both his single and multi cru Cognacs, with his traditional distillation technique on the lees setting him apart from other producers of the region. With every Cognac he produces, simplicity is key; Vaudon makes every effort to find balance in his blends so that every aroma is easily identifiable with every sip.
Pierre Vaudon, born and raised in Charente, has been nicknamed the "gifted child of Cognac", growing up surrounded by vineyards and copper stills. With 18 years of expertise under his belt, he has honed his craft and manages to find the perfect balance between acidity and sweetness with every Cognac he produces. As well as running the François Voyer estate, he established his own brand, Pierre Vaudon, just over two years ago. This is a man who lives and breathes Cognac, a cellar master who took his first steps in the family distillery.
