Description
Prunier VS Cognac: Floral, Fruity and Fresh
Prunier VS Cognac is made with a blend of eaux-de-vie from the Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Bons Bois terroirs. Aged for a minimum of 30 months, the blend boasts a particularly elegant flavor profile for such a young Cognac, with notes of tea, white flowers and citrus.
The eaux-de-vie are stored in Limousin oak casks that are between 6 and 8 years old, allowing this Very Special Cognac to absorb the wood's tannins while still maintaining its floral and fruity youthful character.
The Prunier VS perfectly encapsulates everything that Maison Prunier holds true - heritage, traditional distillation methods, superb quality and of course, the young spirit and innovative mind of the master blenders, who have been taking Prunier in new and exciting directions for some years now.
Using eaux-de-vie made exclusively with the iconic Ugni Blanc grape variety, the VS expresses each cru it contains through a variety of flavors and aromas, with a floral bouquet typical of Petite Champagne blends and distinct citrus and fruit flavors produced by the Fins Bois and Bons Bois terroirs.
Prunier VS may be the youngest of the esteemed Maison's collection, but it certainly delivers on flavor. The delicate and balanced expressions of the Cognac make it the ideal ingredient for a summer cocktail, and its citrus notes certainly go well when mixed with tonic water or dry ginger ale.

Presentation of the Bottle
Housed in a tall and slender bottle, the Prunier VS displays a tricolor of red, white and blue, patriotically presenting the French Drapeau on its label. The design is understated and classic, allowing the Cognac to only express itself fully upon the very first sip.
How to Enjoy
This young Cognac is perfect as a spirit base for a cocktail or on its own over ice.
We like to mix the Prunier VS in a Summer Solstice cocktail:
Shake 1.5 fl oz. of Prunier VS with 0.75 fl oz. of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 0.75 fl oz. of strawberry syrup. Strain into a tumbler, coupe or martini glass, then top with your favorite champagne or sparkling wine.
Garnish with a lemon or orange zest, twisting the peel above the glass before dropping it in. This releases the oils so they delicately perfume the rim of the glass for a light citrus kick with every sip!
About Prunier Cognac
Steeped in tradition, Cognac Prunier is a family run firm with cellars in the heart of the town of Cognac. The house does not own its own vineyards, instead, they buy the eaux-de-vie directly from supplying vine growers and distillers each year, and then carry out the ageing process in their own cellars.
