Description

Joan Brisson VS Cognac

A 100% Fins Bois Very Special Cognac revealing a blissful tasting experience for existing Cognac lovers and those who are new to the wonderful world of French brandy. Discover this fruity delight in the company of friends as sharing is bound to spice up, an otherwise rather sweet and woody Cognac. With aromas of peach, apple, vanilla and wood, this Cognac gives a powerful punch as it swims across the tongue and around the mouth. A final hint of vanilla is the finishing touch to this Cognac as it contrasts sweetly against the other powerful flavors.

An affordable starting point and the perfect way to introduce yourself to the house of Joan Brisson.

Joan Brisson Cognac is a small, family-run Cognac producer located in the small town of Matha in the Charente Maritime, 12 miles north of Cognac in the delimited area of the Fins Bois appellation. The family vineyards stretch from the Fins Bois to Sainte-Sévère and around Saint-Sulpice de Cognac in the Borderies appellation. Ranging from Joan Brisson V.S. to a Vieille Réserve, Brisson Cognac offers a solid range of Cognacs for competitive prices.

Description of the bottle

The Joan Brisson VS is presented in an elegant decanter displaying the Cognac's gorgeous golden and coppery tones. The simplicity of this bottle design makes this product appear modern and classy. A bottle that proves whilst presentation is important - it's what is inside that counts. It is the perfect gift for someone who might be interested in trying Cognac for the first time.

How to enjoy

Maison Joan Brisson advises that their VS can be consumed as a simple but pleasurable aperitif - with mineral water or tonic. It also serves well as a digestive to round off a delicious meal. Typically, VS Cognacs work delightfully as the base of a cocktail. Joan Brisson recommended “Cocktail Party” by Patrice Bliss Mill Marcouze:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cl Cognac VS
  • 1 sugar soaked in Angostura
  • 14 cl Champagne

Making this cocktail couldn’t be simpler. Put the sugar at the bottom of the flute, then pour in the Cognac and fill the rest of the flute with Champagne.
