Description

Hardy VS Tradition Cognac: Floral Delights

The Hardy VS Tradition Cognac is a wonderfully fresh, vibrant young expression composed of eaux-de-vie sourced from the four best crus in the Cognac region. Aged for a minimum of two years, it shows some outstanding youthful florals but also manages to bring a fine balance not often seen at such an age. Fun and exuberant, this is the perfect all-around addition to any drink collection and a great bottle to share with friends as it can be used in so many ways. Last but not least, it also offers exceptional value for money.

The English wine and spirits merchant Anthony Hardy made the decision to establish himself as a Cognac trader as far back as 1863. He changed his name to the more French-sounding Antoine and set up business as a distiller and dealer of Cognac. Within only a few years he was being recognized for the quality of his products and built up a strong supply of eaux-de-vie; lucky indeed, as the phylloxera epidemic was soon to take hold. Hardy came out on the other side and expanded into an international network of distributors.

In the 21st Century, the House of Hardy is appropriately run by two women - Bénédicte and Sophie Hardy - who continue to promote their family brand across North America and Europe.

Presentation of the Bottle

The tall, straight bottle features a heavy glass base and rose-colored foil around the neck. The shades of pink on the packaging give everything a retro feel, contrasting with the otherwise modern design.

How to Enjoy Hardy VS Tradition Cognac

While this is a great Cognac to enjoy on its own or with ice, it’s also perfect in cocktails where a fresh, floral touch is required. Try it in a Rose Garden Spritz:

  • 25ml Hardy VS Tradition Cognac
  • 15ml rose liqueur
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • Rosé Champagne to top

Combine the first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Strain into a wine glass filled with ice cubes, top with the Champagne and garnish with rose petals.

About Hardy Cognac

With a history dating back to 1863, Cognac Hardy is well known for quality cognacs and traditional production methods. Passed down throughout the generations, this family house of cognac, which can be recognized by its rooster logo, was one of the very first to embrace the spoils of a worldwide distribution network. Thanks to the love of an entrepreneurial Englishman for the French Charentaise countryside, Cognac Hardy boasts a 150 year history of providing a range of cognacs to the four corners of the globe.
