Description
Timeless Elegance: Gourry de Chadeville VS Cognac
The Gourry de Chadeville VS Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie from the premier growing region of Cognac, the Grande Champagne. Aged for over four years, this Cognac has been matured in French oak and displays some of the finest characteristics that you’d expect from a young Cognac from this terroir. Bright florals, orchard fruits and warm spiced aromas blend together for a fine impression indeed.
The family of Gourry de Chadeville have been the guardians of their beautiful Segonzac estate and vineyards since 1619. As a result, they claim Gourry de Chadeville may be the oldest known Cognac producer in the region. Their methods of production have hardly changed over the centuries, with both the estate and winemaking skills passed down from father to son and mother to daughter, ever since the 17th Century to the present day. While Maison Gourry de Chadeville remains faithful to their old traditions when it comes to production, they have also embraced modern marketing principles and the reach of the internet. They may be a small producer, but with persistence - and some fantastic products - they have managed to spread the name of Gourry de Chadeville across the world.
Presentation of the Bottle
Such a classic Cognac deserves a classic presentation. The straight profile, gold foil and cream-colored label decorated with calligraphy writing exude an air of timelessness.
Serving Suggestion
This fresh and expressive VS Cognac is great before dinner as well as after. Serve neat in tulip glasses at room temperature as a digestif, or over ice as an aperitif. It would pair exceptionally well with Roquefort cheese and apricot jam.
