An innovative VS Cognac from Deau

Deau URB'N De Luxe Cognac is an exciting VS Cognac by the innovative house of Deau. It's the perfect choice for the new generation of Cognac lover–those who love to experiment and push the boundaries of tradition. And why not? Because the way to enjoy Cognac is very personal and says a lot about your style and personality.

This delightful blend is an ideal versatile addition to any liquor collection, and its smooth profile, in fact, makes it a sure contender as an alternative to what is on offer from some of the bigger, more expensive Cognac houses. At a fraction of the price, you can enjoy a fresh VS Cognac that goes wonderfully in long drinks.

Characterized by notes of fresh mint and white rose, it brings new, exciting aromas to the nose and palate. As a VS Cognac, it has been aged for a minimum of 2 years in French barrels, and the color gives an indication of its refreshing quality and finesse.

Distilled in one of Deau’s 12 pot stills, it has undergone the double distillation process required.

Deau Cognac, despite their ability to innovate and bring fresh new additions to their collection, have in fact existed in the region since 1665. It was during the reign of Louis XIV that the Cognac Louis Memory was blended to as a tribute to this ancestor of the family.

Presentation of the bottle

We adore the contemporary yet classic ‘tasting bottle’ style for the Deau URB’N Cognac. The label is black and white, with a shadow of ‘De Luxe’ written behind the text on the label.

How to enjoy the Deau URB'N De Luxe

For those who love the fire of a young Cognac, enjoy it neat or on the rocks.

Or why not place the bottle in the freezer and sip it icy cold? Deau URB'N Deluxe also lends itself perfectly in cocktails or combined with a mixer. In fact, Deau recommend a couple of great recipes:

The Passionné Cocktail

  • Cut a passionfruit in half, empty it into a shaker and add 5 cl of DEAU URB’N DE LUXE Cognac, 2.5 cl of grapefruit syrup or liqueur and a dozen fresh tarragon leaves.
  • Fill the shaker with ice, shake vigorously for 10 seconds and pour the filtered cocktail into a glass filled with ice cubes.
  • Top off with artisanal lemonade.

Green Velvet Cocktail

  • Crush 8 fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a glass.
  • Add 1 cl of acaci honey, 5cl of DEAU URB’N DE LUXE Cognac and 2 cl of melon liqueur (Midori).
  • Fill the glass with crushed ice and top off with cold water. Slide 4 thin cucumber slices into the glass and garnish with a few mint leaves.
