Couprie VS Sélection du Domaine
The Couprie VS Sélection du Domaine Cognac is a young, zesty VS blend from the Grande Champagne; Premier Cru. Having aged for an average of 2 years, this Cognac does not show much oak influence at all. Instead it stands out as a powerful blend of the very best eaux-de-vie, with rich aromas and a delightful amber coloring, resultant of the aging period.
The Couperie family have been vine-growers, based in the Grande Champagne area of Cognac since 1730. Putting their passion and skills to good use, the Cognac house maintain the family traditions of distilling their own wine to make fine, flavourful, elegant Cognac, for the pleasure of dedicated connoisseurs. The wines are stirred before distillation to enhance aromatic concentration. Double distillation is the focus of the brands centuries’ old craft, and the distiller’s nose is still the only instrument capable of selecting the finest eaux de vie. Next, the long maturation process takes place in the estate's ancient, dark, slightly humid cellars. The Cognac is aged exclusively in Limousin oak barrels, gradually acquiring a deep, amber colour and exquisite flavour.
Presentation of the bottle
Traditional and classic in style, Couprie VS Selection du Domaine is dressed in a timeless decanter and serves perfectly as a tantalizing treat to someone special. Its vintage presentation, despite its young age, allows this VS to stand tall in the drinks cabinet, alongside other treasured Cognacs and spirits alike.
How to enjoy
This is a Cognac that can be enjoyed in many different ways - try it on the rocks, as the base for a favorite cocktail, with a mixer or simply on its own. Serving delightfully as a refreshing aperitif amongst guests, try lengthening the Cognac with tonic water and a few cubes of ice. For an after dinner tipple, Couprie VS also rounds off a delicious meal when consumed neat, as a digestive.
About Couprie Cognac
When Pierre Couprie received the distillation permit in 1750, he introduced a long history for the Couprie family. Their estate in Ambleville in the Grande Champagne has been the home to the cognac house sine generations. Like many smaller producers, Couprie Cognac uses only its own wine production to ensure and control the highest quality of their eaux-de-vie. Courpie also produces Pineau des Charentes and liqueurs to broaden their product range.
