Description
Bourgoin Boisé de Fût Neuf Cognac
The Bourgoin Boisé de Fût Neuf is a distinct Cognac that doesn’t go unnoticed due to its dark, natural colouring, in fact, it may be the darkest Cognac on the market. Aged for a total of 24 months in Limousin oak barrels, the eaux-de-vie is transported every 8 months, therefore three times to a new barrel which ensures the tannins of the oak wood to provide a slight bitterness and pronounced aromas of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, liquorice, toffee, tobacco, coffee and leather to shine through. As Boisé de Fût Neuf is a rather young Cognac, it is appreciated most by bartenders and mixologists who enjoy experimenting with Cognac in cocktails.
The house of Bourgoin is a contemporary craft Cognac brand that dedicates its passion and expertise to cultivating the very best vines, through the most natural means possible. Offering a unique range of Cognac and non-Cognac products, this family-run business boasts a strong branding identity, which enables them to stand out from the crowd within the world of Cognac.
Presentation of the bottle
Showcasing its unusually deep and dark colouring for a Cognac, Bourgoin Boisé de Fût Neuf arrives in a tall and slim decanter. It's design work embodies the house of Bourgoin’s identity as one of the hottest contemporary Cognac brands on the market. The bottles bold font with black and white labelling allows this Cognac to stand proud on the shelf, and contrast nicely against other more classically designed decanters at the bar.
How to enjoy Bourgoin Boisé de Fût Neuf Cognac
Sip and savour this wonderfully unique eaux-de-vie from a tulip glass, at room temperature, as the narrow top of this type of glass will delicately distribute the arrival of aromas during the tasting. By adding a dash of ice or mineral water, you are able to alter the tasting experience slightly, as this will open up the aromas even more.
