Description
Journey Through the Unexpected: Vaudon Cask 78+80 Through The Grapevine Cognac
Located in Echallat, the Vaudon Tardif vineyard spans some 60 hectares across the Grande Champagne and Fins Bois terroirs. Its owner, Pierre Vaudon, likes to say that the search for harmony can sometimes take tortuous, unexpected paths - beautifully expressed in this Cognac, with its winding aromas and flavors. A blend of two vintages sourced from the clay-limestone terroir of Fins Bois, Vaudon Cask 78+80 Through The Grapevine Cognac invites us to discover an aromatic and gustatory palette in which the three tasting stages are intimately linked. The grand finale comes with a particularly expressive floral transition between the palate and the finish. To show its full potential, it has been presented at a cask strength of 48.5% ABV.
The Through The Grapevine range was created by famed Cognac retailer La Maison du Whisky with the aim of unearthing rare pearls of unparalleled potential. This selection of casks and exclusive small batches, selected directly from passionate and unique producers, beautifully expresses the diversity and charm of Cognac today.
Presentation of the Bottle
The gentle curves of the bottle are perfectly complemented by the label, featuring an illustration of twisted grapevines. Accompanied by a smart gift box, this is the perfect Cognac to give to any lover of fine spirits.
How to Serve
The multifaceted flavors of this expression are best appreciated in a classic tulip glass. To let the aromas develop fully, leave the spirit to rest in the glass for 30 seconds before imbibing.
About Vaudon Cognac
The Vaudon grounds are composed of 60 hectares with the main estate being located in Fins Bois, the largest of all the Cognac growth regions. Vaudon produces both single cru Fins Bois Cognacs and ‘multicru’ blends of these with the neighbouring Grande Champagne.
Pierre Vaudon, Maître de Chai and also owner of Maison Francois Voyer, is responsible for the Vaudon family estate. The family’s distilling origins can be traced back as far as 1771, and they have always produced outstanding Cognacs, even winning a gold medal for their 1811 vintage Cognac in 1913.
