The Sabourin family are a traditional Cognac-producing estate that have been creating delightful eaux-de-vie since 1850. Using the expertise and craftsmanship of their predecessors, this Grande Champagne-based estate uses only premier cru eaux-de-vie in their production, honing their techniques over four generations to produce high quality, tradition-respecting Cognacs year upon year.
After the harvest of 1992, this carefully crafted Cognac was placed to store in the cellars of the Sabourin estate, located right in the heart of arguably the best growing area of Cognac, Grande Champagne.
The decades spent aging in these historic cellars offer a particularly oaky aroma to the Cognac, along with sweet hints of fortified wine, a homage to and expression of the terroir. Surprisingly smooth on the palate, this 1992 vintage holds hints of fruit followed by a warming, spicy finish.
