Description
Prunier Vintage 1994 Borderies Cognac
The Prunier Vintage 1994 Borderies Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie made from grapes of the Fins Bois cru selected from the single year of 1994. Produced exclusively from grapes of the Borderies cru – boasting the oldest soil in the region, expect unique characteristics only found in Bordeires Cognacs, including the aromas of violets and nutty, delicious toffee flavors.
Traditionally, the locals in Cognac drank the eaux-de-vie straight from the casks in their cellars. So, for more than 20 years, the house of Prunier has been offering old Cognacs like the vintage 1994 Borderies, directly from the cask at natural strength. Unfortunately, this usually means that only three or four hundred bottles can be produced per vintage year – making each and every bottle even more special as they prove they are rare to come by.
Over eleven generations, the House of Prunier stands as one of the oldest Cognac houses in the prestigious Cognac region and has learnt how to keep its history alive together with its identity and esteem for its products. Without forgetting the past, the house of Prunier continues without respite in striving to offer the best quality products. Through their passion for the craft, each family member has maintained the motto: quality and respect of local traditions. Contained inside each and every bottle rests the history and hard work of the Prunier family heritage.
Presentation of the bottle
Slender and sleek, this Prunier bottle design is as luxurious as the Cognac it houses. Its intense golden bronze colouring embodies the rich flavourings and exceptional quality that is contained inside the bottle. The classic and timeless design of the decanter means it would sit nicely alongside others in your collection.
How to enjoy
Having found its alcohol content naturally over time, this vintage Cognac contains unparalleled elegance and infinite depth that is best enjoyed one sip at a time. Drink neat from a tulip glass, as the narrow top of this type of glass will delicately distribute the arrival of aromas during the tasting
