Tasting review

Tasting review by Pinard:

The wooded nose has aromas marked liquorice, honey and spices. The color is typical of very old Cognac, deep amber. The silky mouth of the venerable Cognac this complexity, roundness, and delicacy. The long finish is exceptional.

Description

This Pinard XO 1990 Vintage Cognac has been produced from grapes made in accordance with the specifications UNIA method Lemaire-Boucher.  This means the grapes were grown without the use of chemical fertilisers, weedkillers, and synthetic pesticides.  Any products that were produced after the implementation iof EU regulations on organic production (in 1991), cannot be controlled or certified "AB".

So - more about what to expect from this delightful old cognac.  It first tantalises the eye with it's deep amber hue so typical of truly old cognacs.  Extremely aromatic, this little beauty takes you on a journey that's somewhat complex, yet delicate and truly rounded.  And of course, that all important finish is long and satisfying...

This is an XO cognac that offers amazing value for money - it's certainly one that more than deserves its place in the finest of drinks cabinets.
