Description

Michel Forgeron Folle Blanche 2009 Cognac

A product of the finest region in the Cognac; Grande Champagne, this Cognac is made from the Folle Blanche grape variety alone. This means it is much fruitier than the Ugni Blanc that the majority of Cognacs are produced with. Aged for more than 10 years in French oak barrels, in the cellars of Domaine Michel Forgeron. It has been patiently reduced by adding distilled water to be offered at 47 degrees of alcohol. The end result of this careful crafting is the discovery of exoticism in the world of Cognac.

One of the younger brands in the region, the first Michel Forgeron Cognac was released in 1977. Its young age hasn’t compromised its brilliance though. Instead, this house is pioneering eco-friendly practices as the first in the region to invest in solar energy in a bid to create sustainable, responsible development. A practice that is evident in its robust flavour, the Michel Forgeron Folle Blanche 2009 Cognac is an excellent example of this house’s brilliant efforts.

Presentation of the bottle

Representing its environmentally-friendly efforts, the display boasts an earthy element. A traditional, simplistic display is a nod to the house’s history through old sepia tones and swirl-type outline. A classic wooden top finishes the display with effortless appeal. A fine display that every Cognac lover will appreciate.

How to enjoy

The rich fragrance of this Cognac deserves to be enjoyed neat. You might like to add a drop of water to entice the sweet aromatic essence to the surface.

About Michel Forgeron

Michel Forgeron Cognac’s uniqueness lies in its very special history, its environmental concern and of course in its quest for quality. With a relatively young history, the first cognac under the brand Michel Forgeron was produced in 1977. Their philosophy remains the same as his grandfather’s, who bought the agricultural property at the turn of the century: work better, produce better. Recently, for its hundred year anniversary, Forgeron covered one of the estate’s roofs with solar panels in order to work with sustainable energies for the cognac production.
