Description
Michel Forgeron Folle Blanche 2008 Cognac
This Cognac "Folle Blanche 2008" comes from the Grande Champagne region, the most prestigious of the Cognac production area. Aged for more than 10 years in French oak barrels, in the cellars of Domaine Michel Forgeron. It has since been patiently reduced by adding distilled water to be offered at 47 degrees of alcohol. The end result is a blend that offers candied and exotic fruits, with hints of Autumn undergrowth.
One of the younger brands in the region, the first Michel Forgeron Cognac was released in 1977. Continuing the heritage, the Forgeron family still manages the estate, living by Michel’s credo ‘work hard, produce better’. Priding themselves on practices that are sustainable and responsible in development, each creation aims to replenish the planet. Offering an example of what this eco-friendly offering can provide, the Folle Blanche 2008 is a wonderful display of aromatic brilliance and quality.
Presentation of the bottle
A traditional, simplistic display, this cognac boasts a charming essence. A nod to the house’s history is clear through old sepia tones and swirl type that outline the contents. Its showcase compliments its age beautifully. A classic wooden top finishes the display with effortless appeal. Representing its environmentally-friendly efforts, it boasts an earthy element that every Cognac lover will appreciate.
How to enjoy
The rich fragrance of this Cognac deserves to be enjoyed neat. You might like to add a drop of water to entice the sweet aromatic essence to the surface.
About Michel Forgeron
Michel Forgeron Cognac’s uniqueness lies in its very special history, its environmental concern and of course in its quest for quality. With a relatively young history, the first cognac under the brand Michel Forgeron was produced in 1977. Their philosophy remains the same as his grandfather’s, who bought the agricultural property at the turn of the century: work better, produce better. Recently, for its hundred year anniversary, Forgeron covered one of the estate’s roofs with solar panels in order to work with sustainable energies for the cognac production.
