Description

Michel Forgeron Folle Blanche 2007 Cognac

Like all Michel Forgeron cognacs, this Cognac "Folle Blanche 2007" comes from the Grande Champagne region, the most prestigious of the Cognac production area. Made from the Folle Blanche grape variety alone, it is much fruitier than the Ugni Blanc that is the majority of Cognacs. Aged for more than 10 years in French oak barrels, in the cellars of Domaine Michel Forgeron, it boasts an enticing depth. It has been patiently reduced by adding distilled water to be offered at 47 degrees of alcohol, a good compromise between preservation of taste and aromas and power in the mouth. A wonderful finesse and fragrance for all to enjoy.

One of the younger brands in the region, the first Michel Forgeron Cognac was released in 1977. To this day, the Forgeron family still manages the estate, living by Michel’s credo ‘work hard, produce better’. In keeping with this admirable ethos, the house is the first in the region to invest in solar energy in a bid to create sustainable, responsible development. It is this careful craft and care that results in Cognac’s that are pleasing to both the planet and the palate. No exception to that, this Folle Blanche 2007 is a wonderful embodiment of enjoyable power and fragrance.

Presentation of the bottle

A traditional, simplistic showcase, this cognac boasts a charming display. Old sepia tones and swirl type outline the contents with historic style to complement its age beautifully. A classic wooden top finishes the display with effortless appeal. Certainly one with detailing that every Cognac lover will appreciate.

How to enjoy

The rich fragrance of this Cognac deserves to be enjoyed neat. You might like to add a drop of water to entice the sweet aromatic essence to the surface.

About Michel Forgeron

Michel Forgeron Cognac’s uniqueness lies in its very special history, its environmental concern and of course in its quest for quality. With a relatively young history, the first cognac under the brand Michel Forgeron was produced in 1977. Their philosophy remains the same as his grandfather’s, who bought the agricultural property at the turn of the century: work better, produce better. Recently, for its hundred year anniversary, Forgeron covered one of the estate’s roofs with solar panels in order to work with sustainable energies for the cognac production.
