Eye: Light mahogany.

Nose: Fine and delicate nose of acacia honey, complemented by more mature cedar wood and hints of dried fruit (fig, date).

Palate: Bold, woody and spicy. The years of oak maturation has created a toasted character that brings out nutmeg and cinnamon flavors towards the finish.

Description

Michel Forgeron Folle Blanche 2005 Cognac

This single vintage expression from the House of Michel Forgeron has been crafted entirely from the Folle Blanche grape variety, which was once common for Cognac production due to its fragrant, floral quality. Michel Forgeron Folle Blanche 2005 Cognac is a Premier Cru vintage that has undergone a completely natural maturation process for well over a decade within French oak barrels, preserved deep down in the cave cellars at Michel Forgeron. It was bottled in 2019 at a significant strength of 47% ABV, perfectly emphasizing its rich notes of honey and dried fruits. Remarkable value for money.

Michel Forgeron is a close-knit family-run business that values sustainability and an environmentally friendly approach to viticulture. As the sons of Michel Forgeron; Pierre and Christophe excel in embracing the original roots and traditions of the family brand. Meanwhile, they continue to invest in responsible development and are conscious of protecting the terroirs from which they source their wines.

Presentation of the Bottle

Presented in a stylish 50cl bottle and presentation case, this would be a wonderful gift for any Cognac lover. The distinct bottle shape - emblazoned with such a prominent vintage - is sure to stand out in any collection.

How to Enjoy Michel Forgeron Folle Blanche 2005 Cognac

Rich and dense in flavor, this vintage Cognac is perfect as a digestif after a rich meal. Serve with a selection of dried fruits and cheeses - or simply enjoy it neat alongside a fine cigar.

About Michel Forgeron

Michel Forgeron Cognac’s uniqueness lies in its very special history, its environmental concern and of course in its quest for quality. With a relatively young history, the first cognac under the brand Michel Forgeron was produced in 1977. Their philosophy remains the same as his grandfather’s, who bought the agricultural property at the turn of the century: work better, produce better. Recently, for its hundred year anniversary, Forgeron covered one of the estate’s roofs with solar panels in order to work with sustainable energies for the cognac production.
