Description

Experience first hand the power of dark chocolate with a Cognac aged over 30 years

The Michel Foregon Barrique 87 Cognac is a real gem from the Barrique Collection. This Cognac leaves a strong impression with an aroma of stewed fruits.

Barrique, meaning barrel in English, signifies that this Cognac has spent an extra long amount of time aguing in oak barrels - 30 years to be precise. Stored in the cellar of the Blacksmith domain, it has not had anything added to it. The alcohol content is 56% naturally.

The Cognac, like all Michel Forgeron Cognacs - the Michel Forgeron Barrique 87 Cognac comes from the terroir of the Grande Champagne, otherwise known as the most prestigious of the Cognac production area.

How to serve

As this is an exceptional Cognac, we suggest that you enjoy it by serving at room temperature or slightly cooler, but no less than 17 degrees Celsius. Serve in a tulip glass to fully enjoy the exquisite taste and aroma of the Cognac.

Presentation of the decanter

A traditional, sleek tasting bottle of 500ml that will be an authentic addition to any collection. It also comes in a bespoke Forgeron presentation sleeve.

Heritage of Michel Forgeron

Michel Forgeron Cognac’s uniqueness lies in its very special history, its environmental concern and of course in its quest for quality. With a relatively young history, the first cognac under the brand Michel Forgeron was produced in 1977. Their philosophy remains the same as his grandfather’s, who bought the agricultural property at the turn of the century: work better, produce better.

Recently, for its hundred year anniversary, Forgeron covered one of the estate’s roofs with solar panels in order to work with sustainable energies for the cognac production.
