Description

A masterfully crafted Vintage Cognac aged more than 4 decades

The Maxime Trijol 1977 Grande Champagne Vintage Cognac is indeed very special. Not just because of the fact that they are hard to come by and highly sought after, but this is made using Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the Grande Champagne terroir. These grapes were harvested in the summer of 1977, which was a particularly fantastic year for producing fragrant eaux-de-vie.

The Cognac has been aged for 40 years and has gone through a delicate and certified process - a fantastic example that that time does indeed deliver.

The Maxime Trijol estate is nestled in the heart of the Cognac region, with their vineyard spreading across the Grande Champagne Premier Cru. Here, they plant mostly Ugni Blanc grapes, and began their Cognac journey in 1859. The maison is currently managed by their fifth generation, Jean-Jacques Trijol.

About Maxime Trijol Cognac

With a history dating back to the mid-1800s, cognac Maxime Trijol not only produces eaux-de-vie from its own vineyards, but also purchases wine from other producers as well to be able to distil higher quantities. Five generations of family have kept the traditional methods of cognac production alive and well, and today they oversee every part of the cognac production. Because the estate purchases other distillers’ wine, they are able to produce a wide range of cognacs from a variety of growing areas in the Cognac region.
