Covering fifty acres of land in the heart of Grande Champagne, Jean Fillioux Cognac is an independent, family run estate that has been producing eaux-de-vie of high quality through four generations. Proud of their traditional methods, the current owner, Pascal J. Fillioux, ensures that not one bottle leaves the estate without being controlled by him from start to finish.
Tasting notes: A velvety nose with notes of vanilla and honey. Very complex and unctuous palate with jammy aromas, prune, orange, then notes of cinnamon and black chocolate. Very long finish with notes of liquorice and spices coming through, toasted coffee
Eye: Amber-red glow.
Nose: Incense and old leather.
Palate : The toasty aromas of gingerbread, quince jam and a warm orange zest arise while tasting. Just when you think it can delight no more, the finish brings fresh hints of liquorice and a spicy sweetness.
Eye: Deep, reddish amber.
Nose: Complex nose, with notes of saffron, nuts, leather are traversed with a fresh mint and berry aroma.
Palate: A long finish in the mouth, maintained by the “rancio” alongside notes of vanilla and Madeira wine.
