Eye: A glorious amber

Nose: A rich bouquet leading with aromas of cloves, followed by scents of leather and spices.

Palate: A lively and eloquent vintage. The palate is well dominated by notes of tannins and spices, which blend effortlessly with subtle hints oak. The finish is very long and balanced, with the aftertaste distinctly marked by the orange peel.

Description

HINE 1975 Millesime Vintage Cognac

HINE has built up what has become an unrivalled collection of old vintages over the years. The reputation and demand surrounding these vintages only grows as the House releases a tiny amount for sale each year.

Each of these vintages is unique; influenced by the climate that year, the storage conditions and the aging process. Connoisseurs hold these cognacs in extremely high regard, with them only being sold after twenty years of age.

1975 was a notable year for the quality of both wines and distilled spirits. This Cognac is made from the grapes of a single harvest in the Grande Champagne terroir and aged in Limousin oak barrels in Jarnac, France.

Presentation of the bottle:

An elegant bottle with a long neck bearing the royal arms emblem due to HINE being appointed the official cognac supplier to HRH Queen Elizabeth II in 1962.

The bottle comes in a sophisticated black box featuring the HINE brand colours and the year of the vintage.

About Hine Cognac

Located in the heart of the Grande Champagne, the premium wine growing area of the Cognac region, the house of Hine has been producing some of the most exquisite Cognacs for six generations, when it was better known as T Hine & Co Cognac. The estate boasts an exceptional 173 acres of vineyards, and the house has a very special tradition of producing relatively small quantities - but with a very high standard in quality. One of their trademarks is to store their vintage casks in damp cellars in Bristol, England. This way, the Thomas Hine Cognac goes through a uniquely different ageing process due to the humidity of the seaside town, which differs somewhat to that of the southwestern coast of France. These highly priced vintage bottles are called “Hine Early-Landed Vintage Cognac”.
