Description

Giboin Borderies Vintage '97 50cl Cognac

A beautiful taste made from sought after Ugni grapes, with a delectable sweetness, this is a highly desirable Cognac. With an enticingly complex aromatic bouquet, it is a choice that is aptly suited for the true Cognac lovers. Thanks to uniqueness with each Millésime, it is one to be savoured.

Produced from a vineyard with over 200 years experience in creating fine Cognac’s, clay and limestone origins offer characteristic of south Charente subsoil to each enticing creation. The Giboin Borderies Vintage '97 50cl is no exception to that, offering a rich, aromatic aroma that beautifully balances sweet and spice to create an embodying Cognac.

Presentation of the bottle

Smaller in size as a 50cl, this is perfect to enjoy alone or to be extended as a gift. Housed in a beautiful Bordeaux cardboard folder, it is a charming Cognac. The beautiful amber of this Cognac is perfectly harmonised by the deep mahogany bottle it is placed in. Proudly stamped with the traditional Giboin label, the expertise of this Cognac is immediately evident.

How to enjoy

A product of the borderies, this is a Cognac best enjoyed in a tulip glass. Suited to a sip and savour style, enjoy neat to allow the complex bouquet to be fully appreciated. As a 50cl its perfect to be offered as a taster, or a post-dinner pleasantry.

About Giboin Cognac

Giboin is an expert producer of both Cognac and Pineau de Charentes, with 60 acres (24 hectars) of vineyards in both the Borderies and Fins Bois Cognac growing areas of the Charente. This family run, traditional brand has a history stretching back to the early part of the nineteenth century, and exclusively produces a very limited amount of Cognac per year. Using predominantly Ugni Blanc grapes, but Merlot too, Giboin strives to remain committed to the methods used by the family’s founders, and for a small house curates a surprisingly versatile and wide range of Cognac and Pineau products.
