Eye: Glimmering orange hues catch the light

Nose: The nose opens with zest citrus notes, including tangerine, before unfolding into spicy fragrances of dried peach and gingerbread.

Palate: Notes of orchard and fruits which evolve towards fine vanilla and delicately spicy notes. Warm flavors of nutmeg balance the roundness of dried apricot nuances. The finish reveals lingering notes of rancio – characteristic of skillfully aged Cognacs.

Description

Frapin Château de Fonpinot 1995 25 Years Old Cognac

Selected from the Grande Champagne cru during the vintage year of 1995, Château de Fonpinot 1995 25 Years Old Cognac is an award-winning and beautifully fragrant single-year Cognac offering that pays homage to the memorable summer of 1995. While the summer of 1995 was particularly dry, the abundant fleshy grapes promised to be great – and that they were. Following a double distillation process and then 25 years of patient aging in French oak barrels, the eau-de-vie presents a subtle symphony of fruity and spicy notes.

The house of Frapin is fronted by a family of award-winning pioneers in the art of blending vintage eaux-de-vie, as they were, in fact, the very first Cognac house to produce a multi-vintage blend. Favouring advanced techniques and natural treatments, Frapin is an innovative Cognac house with a vision for sustainable development. Based in the heart of the Grande Champagne region and covering hundreds of hectares of land, Maison Frapin is a brand to be truly inspired by.

Presentation of the bottle

Revealing the Cognacs shining orange hues, the tone of this decadent Cognac is a testimony to its maturation in Limousin oak barrels. Displayed in an elegant and contemporary decanter, its presentation embodies the “forward-thinking” spirit of the brand and stands out as the ideal Cognac choice for those who enjoy exploring the vintage world of Cognac.

How to enjoy

This 25-year-old Cognac is best enjoyed neat at room temperature. After taking the first sips, let this vintage-blend rest in the tulip glass for a few minutes. Next, slowly inhale and absorb the new aromas that fill your senses. This way, you can appreciate all angles of the Cognac and enjoy it for all that it's worth.

About Frapin Cognac

The Frapin family has been around the Southwest of France since 1270. Always active in the domain of winegrowing, they specialized in distillation much later on and have since continued to stand strong throughout twenty one generations! The estate owns 340 hectares of land entirely in the Grande Champagne area, of which 240 are planted with vines. Frapin’s home in the beautiful castle Fontpinot in the town of Segonzac. The most famous family member was the 16th century author Francois Rabelais, after whom a prestigious Frapin Cognac bottle is named: The Cuvee Rabelais, rather fittingly, the house of Frapin is also the only Cognac estate granted permission to call itself a Chateau within the entire Grande Champagne cru. Alongside many other accolades, Frapin was the first Cognac producer to invent a multi-vintage blend, combining vintages of different years to create the perfect taste.
