Description

Frapin Carafe Limited Edition 750 Cognac: Celebrating Over Seven Centuries of History

The oldest member of the Frapin family was born in the Cognac region in 1270; this bottle is a release to celebrate 750 years of Cognac history. As winegrowers, the Frapins have overseen their vineyards in the Grande Champagne and continue their hard work today - a worthy achievement to celebrate.

For this anniversary, Frapin has released the Frapin Carafe Limited Edition 750 Cognac: 21 exceptional bottles symbolising the 21 generations of the Frapins. The exceptionally designed bottles contain some of the oldest eaux-de-vie from their cellars, representing the best that the Grande Champagne terroir has to offer. For the lucky few who get to taste it, this expression is sure to give a tasting experience like no other.

Presentation of the Decanter

Frapin 750 comes in a stunning Baccarat crystal carafe accompanied by a duo of crystal glasses. The carafe and glasses, delicately engraved with a Belle Époque-style pattern of grapevines, are set in an Elie Bleu box. The wooden box features a drawer containing a book, a sealed envelope and a spot for a key.

About Frapin Cognac

The Frapin family has been around the Southwest of France since 1270. Always active in the domain of winegrowing, they specialized in distillation much later on and have since continued to stand strong throughout twenty one generations! The estate owns 340 hectares of land entirely in the Grande Champagne area, of which 240 are planted with vines. Frapin’s home in the beautiful castle Fontpinot in the town of Segonzac. The most famous family member was the 16th century author Francois Rabelais, after whom a prestigious Frapin Cognac bottle is named: The Cuvee Rabelais, rather fittingly, the house of Frapin is also the only Cognac estate granted permission to call itself a Chateau within the entire Grande Champagne cru. Alongside many other accolades, Frapin was the first Cognac producer to invent a multi-vintage blend, combining vintages of different years to create the perfect taste.
