Eye: An intense old gold colour heralds the pleasures to come.

Nose: The fine bouquet opens on the sweetness of fleshy, ripe melon, giving way little by little to notes of chestnut purée and plump sultanas, followed by a touch of mild curry powder of the best kind, made from scratch at home.

Palate: As classy as the nose, the flavours flood the palate with refinement.

Deau Vintage 1990 Grande Champagne Cognac

Deau Vintage 1990 Grande Champagne is a limited edition emblem of the Premier Cru. Available in very small quantities, this Cognac is aged for generations in Limousin oak barrels. The eau-de-vie rests in the Deau cellars for decades, where the nearby Charente River provides cool moisture to the atmosphere. A slow aging process is ensured, with the result producing a stunning vintage rich in sweet aroma. Notes of melon, chestnut puree and juicy sultanas are accentuated by contrasting hints of spices. A truly remarkable Cognac with unrivalled refinement.

Bottled straight from the cask, this 1990 Vintage is part of the Millesime Vintage collection. Deau’s vintage offerings are created with eau-de-vie from one single year. Since Cognac is normally produced with a blend of several different years, this is fairly uncommon and makes the collection all the more precious and exclusive.

The house of Deau is a four generation family-run brand, that owns and operates its own vineyard, thus controlling the quality of its products from grape selection to vinification. The company oversees the entire production process, from the vine to final bottling, with the utmost rigor.

Presentation of the bottle

Having endured a lengthy maturation process, this Cognac certainly rich in history and its label work and accompanying, wooden display box reveal the product’s story with pure elegance. Customization of the wooden box is available with an engraving of the plaque upon request.

How to enjoy
