Description

Bourgoin Micro Barrique Brut de Fût 1998 Cognac is a cask strength Cognac (53.5%) that has been produced in a manner unique to the house of Bourgoin. Cultivated during the 1998 vintage harvest, from the Fins Bois terroir, this delectable vintage eau-de-vie remains faithful to the Bourgoin Cognac philosophy and is a perfect reflection of its region of origin. The eaux-de-vie is unblended and bottled without reduction or filtration. Strictly no additives are used in all levels of the production process, and the cognac is hand bottled.

As with all of Bourgoin's Cognacs, the eau-de-vie is aged in micro barrels, and the bottle is of a 35cl size. Powerful yet rounded, everything about this vintage Cognac screams its individuality, including the bottle shape and the bold labeling. A great Cognac to add to your collections, or it'll make a superb present for anyone who enjoys trying the best craft Cognac that region has to offer.

The house of Bourgoin is a contemporary craft Cognac brand that dedicates its passion and expertise to cultivating the very best vines, through the most natural means possible. Offering a unique range of Cognac and non-Cognac products, this family-run business boasts a strong branding identity, which enables them to stand out from the crowd within the world of Cognac.

Presentation of the bottle

Presented in a modern 35cl bottle, its design work embodies the house of Bourgoins identity as one of the hottest contemporary Cognac brands on the market. The bottles bold font with black and white labelling allows this Cognac to stand proud on the shelf, and contrast nicely against other more classically designed decanters in the drinks cabinet.

How to enjoy

Sip and savour the Bourgoin Brut de Fût 1998 Cognac from a tulip glass, at room temperature, as the narrow top of this type of glass will delicately distribute the arrival of aromas during the tasting. By adding a dash of ice or mineral water, you are able to alter the tasting experience slightly, as this will open up the aromas even more.

About Bourgoin Cognac

Epitomizing the true concept of a micro-artisan cognac house. Bourgoin Cognac is all about a true passion for the land, the vines, the wine and, naturally, the creation of the ultimate product.  This family run estate is located in the village of Tarsac, where this small, close-knit group work tirelessly to bring to market a small but quality range of 'must-taste' cognac delights.
