Description
André Petit Vintage 1981 Cognac
André Petit Vintage 1981 Cognac is a unique vintage offering made up of Ugni-blanc grapes harvested in 1981. Following traditional methods, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected to form the eau-de-vie used to produce Cognac.
Crafted through the use of very old methods, the team at André Petit first harvests the grapes by hand and then later distil the eau-de-vie following the savoir-faire passed down by previous ancestors. No machinery is used to separate alcohol during the distillation process. Instead, the cellar master at André Petit must trust his nose and senses. This part of the Cognac-making process is almost extinct in the Cognac industry due to growing demand and the production of high quantities. As vinegrowers, this house has developed a very pronounced style of Cognac using intuition and personal taste. that strives to make sure its Cognac is of exceptional quality.
Presentation of the bottle
This vintage Cognac oozes luxury. While the bottle itself remains humble to its roots and appears classic in style, this Cognac is without a doubt worthy of a spot on display. With its own story to tell, from the very first glance, it is clear that this bottle is quite literally dripping in history.
