TASTING NOTES
Eye: Antique gold.
Nose: An instant attack of fresh fruits. Tropical notes create a warm, lush bouquet, with soft peaches and papaya ripening in the sun. Creating images of faraway places, this is like a vacation in a glass.
Palate: The fruits carry through from the nose, but this time its ripe figs and exotic mango that take center stage. Some herbal expressions give maturity and balance, with warm cinnamon coming through towards the end. Finally, a burst of dark chocolate carries the finish, balancing out the initial sweet notes with just a hint of tannins from the oak.

Since 1850, the Vallein Tercinier family has been creating outstanding Cognac and wine in the Saintonge region. When a cask is filled and put away in their cellars, it’s not unlikely that the contents inside will not be enjoyed by the person who made it; leaving a heritage for the next generation is simply part of life.
For L’ESSENTIEL, they have bottled a unique Très Vieux Cognac, matured for three decades and presented at a cask strength of 44.5%. The Lot 90 has been crafted from grapes harvested in the often-underrated Bons Bois region, delivering outstanding tropical fruit notes and unrivalled smoothness. Known for its heavy clay soils and maritime influence, the Bons Bois creates distinct eaux-de-vie that retain a lively freshness and a true grape character even after extended maturation.
