Distillerie Bertrand Biersky Spiritueux Alsace

The Biersky from Distillerie Bertrand represents the combination of two different worlds. That of the distiller and of the brewer. Those also represent acclaimed traditions in this unique Alsatian spirit. The mixing of the two traditions happened when Jean Metzger, head of Distillerie Bertrand, was on his way back from berlin. He knew to combine a forgotten beer brandy that was aged for over 10 years with a malt distillate. 

Carefully blended the Biersky is 60% beer brandy and 40% malt distillate. Only the most curious palates in this world were able to taste this sensational spirit when it was first created in 2013. 
First the hops mash is aged in barrels then the malt distillate is added. After the two spirits meet it was reduced to 44,4% abv. To be served as an aperitif.

To be served with dessert: Irish coffee (instead of whisky), baba au Biersky, tarte tatin, crème brulée, tarte flambée with apples, vanilla ice cream, a small square of dark chocolate.
