Description

A Fins Bois masterpiece

The artisan house of Grosperrin has excelled itself with this Cognac. It represents all that is great about the terroir of Fins Bois, not to mention being a little piece of history, starting life in the same decade that the hippy movement was in full swing in the western world. The Grosperrin N°68 Fins Fins Bois Cognac offers an intense, fruity taste profile, and one that will delight both the connoisseur and the novice Cognac drinker alike.

The barrels containing this unique eau-de-vie were stored in Grosperrin’s warehouses in Barbezieux, and aged in the ideal damp conditions necessary to bring it to perfection. The result is a Cognac that brings us a wonderfully distinct taste experience, with the lightness of pepper and lemon combining with the mushroom, earthy tones of rancio that’s only found in truly well-aged Cognacs. This delicious Cognac is best enjoyed neat, and when you have the time to sip, contemplate, and allow its evolving aromas and palate to take you on its long tasting journey.

The house of Grosperrin is one that well deserves your attention. They are all about purity, with none of their Cognacs being blended, or containing any added sugar or color. Find out more in our blog article about the house of Jean Grosperrin Cognac: Unique in so many ways.

About Grosperrin Cognac

The independent Cognac house of Grosperrin is a relatively new one in the region, having only been established in 1999 by its founder, Jean Grosperrin. Grosperrin is based in Saintes which sits between the terroirs of Fins Bois and Borderies and it is today run by Jean’s son, Guilhelm, who took over in 2004 at just 23 years old.

Guilhelm’s mission is to discover producers all across the region in order to create truly unique Cognacs from the six crus. This vision was made possible by the fantastic relationships Jean Grosperrin built with producers, and that Guilhelm has since built on and expanded. Today, Grosperrin works with over 150 Cognac producers, from which Guilhelm will meticulously select barrels to craft into exquisite end bottles.
