Description
De Luze Gentry Cognac
The De Luze Gentry Cognac is a refined blend crafted from eaux-de-vie sourced from the most prestigious terroirs of the AOC Cognac, specifically the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions. This combination creates the "Fine Champagne" designation, known for its exceptional quality. The eaux-de-vie are aged in toasted French oak barrels, allowing them to mature and develop a unique profile before being skillfully blended by our Maître de Chai in keeping with traditional Cognac craftsmanship.
On the nose, De Luze Gentry offers a complex array of aromas, including fig, vanilla, orange, coconut, and candied fruits. The palate is characterized by a harmonious blend of orange zest and a subtle spice mix, leading to a smooth and elegant finish. This Cognac is a true representation of finesse and balance.
Presentation of the bottle
The De Luze Gentry comes in a uniquely shaped 1-liter bottle, inspired by the iconic design of the alembic still and the base of De Luze's XO carafe. This distinctive bottle design highlights the elegance and quality of the Cognac within.
How to drink
For an optimal tasting experience, De Luze Gentry can be enjoyed neat, with or without ice. It also serves as an excellent base for cocktails, such as the "The Gentleman." It pairs beautifully with dishes like gravlax salmon or Brillat-Savarin cheese, enhancing the dining experience with its subtle flavors.
About De Luze Cognac
The cognac house has a uniquely interesting history, with the origins of the company in New York! Two brothers set off to find success in the New World in the early 19th century. And they did. De Luze is still a successful business with 410 hectares of vineyards in the prime growing area of Cognac. Their philosophy is to create a natural cognac with an elegant and light taste and colour.
