Description

Camus Port Cask Finish from both Cognac and Porto

This is an innovative limited edition offering that, as the name suggests, has finished off the aging process in old port casks. The Camus Port Cask Finish Cognac is the first ever Cognac to be produced in such a manner, and is a delightful blend that will be of great interest to anyone who enjoys fine liquor. Double distilled in small, 2,500 liter Charentais copper pot stills, the final finish was in old Tawny Port 220 liter casks. These were selected by Cellar Master, Patrick Leger, for their incredible aromatic qualities, and has enriched the finished product with an amazing array of flavors, textures, and colors.

Maison Camus of Cognac

The house of Camus is the biggest and probably the best known of all the family run houses. With five generations of expertise, tradition, and savoir-faire, they are genuinely large enough to be a global brand, yet remain small enough and true to their roots to produce wonderful small batch Cognacs such as the Port Cask Finish. The house was founded in 1863, and ever since then have created Cognac masterpieces with the same overriding philosophy: This is to value independence in a world dominated by standardization, to celebrate their own living tradition, to create Cognacs that reflect the very best from their terroir, to seek the exceptional, and are absolutely passionate about taste.

The unique Cognac has been produced in a limited edition of only 3,000 bottles. Each is individually numbered, and presented in a distinctive bottle with easily recognizable label. Port, of course, is a delicious dark red color. The label and cap of the Port Cask Finish is true to this shade, and there are wood patterns that evoke thoughts of the tawny port cask in which the Cognac finished its aging process.

How to enjoy Camus Port Cask Finish

This is a Cognac that can be enjoyed in many different ways. Taste it neat to explore its myriad of flavors, or over ice for a slightly different experience. And the Port Cask Finish has more than enough character to add that very special something to your favorite cocktail. A great addition to any liquor collection.

About Camus Cognac

Since 1863, five generations of the Camus family have cultivated a single-minded passion for crafting great Cognac with their own style. Laid across 180 hectares in the smallest and rarest AOC cru - the Borderies - the Camus family has always been deeply involved in winemaking and distilling. It is this unbreakable bond between the land, the traditions and the people who live on it that helps them craft superb Cognacs. Today, it is Cyril Camus who is the bearer of all family tradition and oversees the undisputed quality of Camus Cognac. Export development and product development remain at the top, with a passion for innovation. Cyril Camus has entirely modernized the Cognac house’s interiors, relying on a fresh new take on Cognac for the new century. Instead of leather, wood and velvet in shades of brown, he opts for light colors and a combination of tradition and modern design.
