Braastad x A-MO Limited Edition Cognac

For its latest collaboration, Braastad joins forces with artist A-MO for a great cause. The project is aimed at protecting an endangered species: the Snowy Owl by raising awareness within the general public and more specifically the Cognac community of the consequences of this environmental issue. In doing so, this partnership merges the distinct universes of Braastad Cognac and Neo-Aquitaine artist A-MO - a rising figure in street art, who has developed a very personal technique called "paintag", which consists of a painting by superimposing tags. If the urban city remains his favourite place of expression, nature is at the heart of his work. Therefore, it seemed only logical for the pair to join forces with the same drive to preserve a fragile ecosystem.
The Jarnac based Cognac house has left the creative expression to A-MO who designed the illustration of the label of its flagship product: a limited and numbered edition selected from the Braastad paradise cellars.
Representing the true essence of Maison Braastad, this Cognac is made from family stock, aged for 3 generations in the cellars of the Château de Triac. It is a special edition produced with 100% Ugni Blanc grapes, which form a blend of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Bons Bois and Fins Bois crus. The eaux-de-vie that make up this limited edition blend is between 25 and 90 years old.
Presentation of the bottle
Dressed in a hexagonal carafe style bottle with a glass stopper, the presentation of this limited edition bottle design contrast is both bold and elegant, reflecting the cause of the collaboration beautifully. On the front of the bottle, artist A-MO designs a stunning illustration of a Snowy Owl. The design nods at street art with its use of paint, which appears to have been applied using the spray method. Refined and beautifully detailed – the illustration is a true work of art that symbolises the importance of protecting this endangered species of animal.
How to enjoy
Made up of well-matured, high-quality eaux-de-vie, we suggest serving it neat at room temperature, so as not to distract from the Cognac’s purest form. Allow the rare nectar to stand for a few minutes before bringing the glass to your lips and embarking on a sensory journey sip after sip.

Decadence at a fraction of the price
A fantastic offering by Braastad. Smooth and so easy to drink. Charred, toasted caramel notes, tree fruits, mild wood accents. This is an absolute winner at a fraction of the price of other offerings with this much aging. I honestly hesitated on this review as I want them all for myself. I would...
A true treat
What a great cognac. It has that special flavor, where after you taste it you can’t help but try and get, try and figure out what that magnificent flavor is. The smell is sweet syrupy and citrus. The taste is a surprise of leather, wood, syrup, slight rancio and spice. Double the price and...
About Braastad Cognac
In the heart of Grande Champagne in the village of Jarnac lies the impressive Chateau de Triac. The chateau is the home of Cognac Tiffon, to which the Cognac brand Braastad belongs.
Rubbing shoulders with other famous Cognac houses such as Bisquit or Courvoisier, the brand Braastad was created when a Norwegian named Sverre Braastad married into the Tiffon family.
Known for their devotion to the traditional Cognac producing methods, today the whole process is still carried out at the family premises, and Cognac Braastad’s products are renowned worldwide.
