Tasting review

Tasting review:

Eye: Deep mahogany

Nose: Soft oak, honey, cocoal butter, vanilla, walnut, jasmine tea, and a hint of curry

Palate: Saffron, gingerbread, manuka honey, cigar boxes, toasted nut, nutmeg, & cedarwood.  A long, lingering spicy-warm finish.

5 stars all the way

I purchased this bottle on this website and love it. Compared to other cognacs at the same price - you cannot even compare! The 30 years of oak barrel really make a difference, spectacular value for money. One of my favorites (i have about 30 bottles in my cabinet).

this was a great cognac, tried it last night with few friends,it was one of the bottles from the lot # 59. do recommend. can't wait to try the 1914 vintage, but i am saving it for the proper occasion.

This is the best cognac among a group of big name brands "select" brandies, without question. Also I was at a Pierre Ferrand tasting event, and I got to try Vintage 1914 and Vintage 1972 along with Ancestrale, 1840, etc. Selection was the best taste of all of them including the $1200 and $600 bottles. It has the most balanced richness to smoothen the burn in the the throat and it has the best long finish. Gotta admit the name is a bit corny, but it kind of deserves the name.

Trying too hard to be a "connoisseur" This is phenomenal cognac, great nose, delicate taste, complex, Iam in love with this cognac! Get it, wont regret it.
